Professor Luís Ferreira has been elected Rector of Universidade de Lisboa (ULisboa) for another four year term at the head of Portugal's largest public university.
The election took place on 8 September at Universidade de Lisboa Rectorate, was by the Governing Board, the University's strategic decision-making and supervisory body.
For Luís Ferreira, this election represents an opportunity to consolidate ULisboa as a "robust, integrated and relevant institution — a university that is more equitable, more ambitious and more connected with society".
