Caixa Geral de Depósitos Auditorium

Lost Songs
Carlos Tavares, Manuel Rebelo and Friends

On October 29th, at 9:00 pm, the ISEG hosts the Concert "Lost Songs" at the CGD Auditorium.

The Canções Perdidas concert is an idea of defense of Portuguese music and poetry, but also an idea of solidarity. In April 2015, the concert was entirely offered to Santa Casa da Misericórdia of Estarreja on the occasion of its 80th anniversary. In this concert in Lisbon, part of the donations from this performance will be dedicated to financing the attendance of the Vocal Emotion music teaching Association ("Emotion Kids" project) by children from needy families, providing them with a first contact with choral music and a basic musical education.

Canções Perdidas is an original idea by Carlos Tavares (president of the CMVM), who challenged Manuel Rebelo to promote the interpretation of new arrangements of a set of songs that have been lost over time and have disappeared from our memory and from our ears. With the help of several musicians and singers from different generations, they have rejuvenated many themes that few will remember and that most of us never even got to know. We could even call them "perfect songs" because they are so well constructed, in that whole of melody, harmony, and words that make the truly great songs.
