Seminars | MAEG PhD Program

10 Oct 09:00
Iapmei Room (Ed. Quelhas, 3rd floor)

On October 10, two seminars will be held as part of the PhD Program in Mathematics Applied to Economics and Management, in the IAPMEI room (Quelhas Building, 3rd floor).

The objectives of these seminars are somewhat different from the typical research seminar and include:

- to share the most important concepts and problems in the speaker's area of research in a way that is accessible to non-specialists;

- foster fruitful collaborations between members of the center, especially those belonging to different areas of interest;

- stimulate and train students, especially doctoral and master's students;

- to promote the exchange of views and interaction between members of the center;

- give rise to co-supervision of TFMs or doctoral theses aimed at tackling research topics using a multidisciplinary approach.

This series of seminars is also intended to stimulate the creation of project proposals to be submitted to CEMAPRE for funding.

10h00 -  Recent developments in ruin theory, the standard and the dual risk models. Applications.
Alfredo Egidio dos Reis (ISEG and CEMAPRE).
