After completing my undergraduate degree, I knew I wanted to further develop my knowledge of statistics and probabilities applied to financial and economic contexts. While researching the Master's in Actuarial Sciences, I realized that this programme combined exactly the areas I was looking for.

Overall I found the course to be an excellent bridge between my previous business experience and new technical skills. From the old (and not so old) economic theories that are essential to understanding today's economic challenges, to an understanding of institutions that are constantly being built, to the internationalization strategies of companies - which increasingly need to grow in order to survive - ISEG's Master's in EIEE stood out from the outset for the breadth and relevance of the curriculum, which is fundamental to understanding that there are no easy solutions to complex problems. The teaching staff, with extensive academic experience but also relevant knowledge of companies and institutions, also contributed to this comprehensiveness, offering a critical and always informed vision.
In addition to the classes, books and scientific articles, one of the most striking aspects of the master's degree was the constant stimulus to new experiences, which played an important role in my academic and professional development. From the use of new software for data analysis, through meetings with leaders of large companies to carry out work, discussions with group colleagues committed to the best approach, presentations and discussions in class with dozens of colleagues interested and studying the same topics, to the regular completion of essays that developed my critical and argumentative skills, each of these experiences was enriching and would have been significantly more difficult to develop without the encouragement and guidance provided by the curriculum.

This Masters offered me the extraordinary opportunity of obtaining a Double degree diploma at both ISEG and PUEB - Poznań University of Economics and Business in Poland.
